Tell Your Story

Write your life story. Liken it to the scriptures. Return to Jesus Christ.

Tell Your Story is where you write the larger story of your life: where you came from, what shaped you, what you chose, what hurt, what helped, and what you need from Jesus Christ now.

After you write your story, Liken will help you find meaningful connections between your life and the scriptures. You can study those connections, pray about what stands out, record your feelings and impressions, and continue your goals or action plans in LifeNote.

Which scriptures do you use?

This choice controls which scriptures may appear in your Scripture Likenings.

I'm not sure

Both choices include the Old Testament and New Testament.

Choose the 66-book Bible if those are the only scriptures you use. Choose Latter-day Saint Standard Works if you also use the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price.

Your scripture choice is private. It is never sold, used for advertising, shown to other members, or sent to a billing provider.

Choose a scripture set to continue.

You can change this choice for future Likenings without changing any Likening you already created.

Your life story

Begin with prayer. Pray to God in the name of Jesus Christ to invite the help of the Holy Ghost. Then write honestly, one memory at a time. You can return later and add more.

AI is a tool, not the source. Liken can suggest scripture patterns, but it cannot answer prayers or provide personal revelation. Read the scriptures, pray about what you receive, and let the Holy Ghost—not the app—guide what honestly applies to your life.

Write at least 300 words, then create your Scripture Likening. There is no maximum length.

Your Scripture Likening

After you select “Liken my life story to the scriptures,” Liken will show you the scripture connection that best fits what you wrote. When your story supports other helpful connections, those may appear as well. You will also receive one invitation to help you continue through prayer and scripture study. This is a scripture-study aid. It is not revelation.

1 Notice what stands out in your story

Consider what happened, what changed, what shaped you, and what you need from Jesus Christ now.

2 Look for connections in the scriptures

Explore similar experiences and patterns in the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price.

3 Pray and study

Pray to God in the name of Jesus Christ to invite the help of the Holy Ghost. Read the connected scriptures and consider what honestly applies to your life.

4 Choose one faithful next step

Record your impressions, questions, goals, and next steps in Daily Journal or LifeNote.

Scripture Likening

Your Scripture Likening will appear here. Read the connected scriptures, pray to God in the name of Jesus Christ to invite the help of the Holy Ghost, and consider one faithful next step.

Feelings and impressions

After prayer and scripture study, write what stood out to you. Do not treat the app’s words as revelation. Pray about what you received and decide what honestly applies to your life.
