Why I Created Liken

I had heard the phrase "liken all scriptures unto us," but I did not really know how to do it.

Reading has not always been easy for me. Sometimes it takes real effort, and sometimes I have honestly found scripture study boring, even though I knew the scriptures were important and wanted them to matter more in my life.

One day, I wrote out my biography and asked ChatGPT to help me liken my life story to the Latter-day Saint scriptures. The result surprised me. It helped me better understand the scriptures, better understand myself, and see how my past choices had helped shape who I had become.

It also helped me see that my future choices will help shape who I will become. That experience gave me a new way to study, ponder, repent, hope, and come closer to Jesus Christ.
